Peninsula Cycle Club
focuses on the riders that make up it's membership. All of our riders have a
common interest in riding but for different reasons and as a result, we have
tremendous strength in diversity. Our recreational riders have raised thousands
of dollars for charities such as the MS Society, Lance Armstrong Foundation, LA
County Bicycle Coalition, the Arthritis Foundation, and many others. Mountain
bike teams have been fielded for 24 hour races where thousands are exposed to
our elaborate campground setups complete with tents and sponsors banners. Our
intent is also to continuously develop and support a top-level racing team by
providing coaching, a structured training program and financial support to our
junior, elite and master level road team members. Coaching is available for
road and off-road riding. The club owns and operates the Torrance Criterium
fundraising event. The Torrance Criterium offers multiple junior level
categories and has been a part of the Lance Armstrong Junior Olympic Road Series
for multiple years now. |
